BEDFORD — Choosing the right senior living or rehabilitation option can be one of the biggest decisions older adults and their families face. The 2026 Senior Fair presented by Vertical Home Health helps to simplify that process by bringing together a variety of local providers in one convenient location this Wednesday, May 20.
The annual event at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church, 508 Fellowship Drive in Bedford, is hosted by 1340 WBIW, Southern Indiana’s Classic Hits 105.5, and 102.5 Litefm and will feature vendors focused on assisted living, senior communities, independent living options, and both short-term and long-term rehabilitation services.
Attendees will have the opportunity to speak directly with representatives from local care providers to learn about the services, amenities, and support systems available throughout the region. Organizers say the face-to-face conversations can help seniors and caregivers better understand which solutions may best fit their unique needs and lifestyles.
Whether families are exploring rehabilitation after surgery, considering assisted living options, or simply planning for the future, the Senior Fair offers a chance to compare resources and ask important questions in a relaxed setting.
Representatives will be available to discuss topics such as levels of care, therapy services, transportation options, social activities, dining programs, and specialized memory care. Attendees can also learn practical details that often matter most when choosing a community, including which locations are pet-friendly, what amenities are offered, and how residents maintain independence while receiving support.
In addition to senior living and rehabilitation providers, the fair will feature more than 50 vendors offering healthcare resources, insurance information, home services, wellness support, and community programs for older adults.
The free event runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is open to the public.
