BLOOMINGTON — The Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market (BCFM) continues its summer season this Saturday with a full lineup of local vendors, live entertainment, and opportunities for residents to engage with city officials.

Local farmer Melvin Reeves of Morningside Farms recently gave his “seal of approval” to Marble Hill Farm (Booth #A1), a staple at the market since 1999. Owned and managed by Whitney and Kip Schlegel since 1998, the 150-acre farm is located in southwest Monroe County.

Marble Hill specializes in all-natural, pasture-raised, and pasture-finished Black Angus beef that is free of hormones and antibiotics. Beyond their state-inspected beef, the Schlegels manage a diverse array of livestock, including:
- Shetland sheep, Nubian goats, and chickens.
- Miniature donkeys and horses.
- “Sheep to Feet” products, featuring wool socks, felted insoles, and semi-worsted natural color yarns.
The farm is known for being child-friendly and maintains an open-door policy for visitors.
