Lawrence County prepares for Election Day: Live results on WBIW

LAWRENCE COUNTY – As the sun sets over the rolling hills of Southern Indiana tonight, residents of Lawrence County are bracing for a busy Tuesday. Election Day 2026 arrives tomorrow, May 5, marking the culmination of weeks of campaigning and early voting efforts.

While early voting at the Lawrence County Voter Registration Office and the Mitchell Senior Citizen Center concludes today at noon, the real surge is expected when the polls officially open tomorrow morning.

For those heading out to cast their ballots tomorrow, consistency is key. All Election Day vote centers in Lawrence County will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time. Officials remind voters that while early voting was limited to specific sites, Election Day offers a variety of locations across the county.
