BEDFORD — Grecco’s Pizza is celebrating 80 incredible years of serving the community with a special anniversary event on Saturday, October 18, 2025. Grecco’s Pizza is located at 519 Lincoln Avenue.
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., guests can register for The Great Eight Giveaway, where eight lucky winners will receive free pizza for an entire year—one large, one-topping pizza each week for dine-in or carryout.
The celebration doesn’t stop there. The first 80 customers throughout the day will receive a free order of breadsticks as a thank-you for decades of support. WQRK and LiteFM will also be on-site from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. broadcasting live and joining in on the festivities.
It’s all part of Grecco’s 80th Anniversary Celebration—honoring eight decades of great food, great memories, and community tradition.
Lisa Starr of the Lawrence County Community Foundation went on her first date with her husband, Bud Starr, 50 years ago at Grecco’s. “On December 7, 1974, Bud and I went on our first date. He was a senior and I was a freshman. We went to a BNL basketball game (the first basketball season of the newly consolidated school system), then onto enjoy a pizza at Grecco’s. All seemed to be going well until I tried to “scoot” my cup out of the way…not a good move with a Styrofoam cup. The large Diet Pepsi spilled everywhere. I’m still surprised there was a second date. Fast forward to fifty years later, December 7, 2024, through two children (Britton and J.J.) and now grandchildren. We celebrated our “first date” anniversary at the same location on Lincoln Avenue, again after a BNL basketball game. Grecco’s holds a special place in our hearts. And the food is great!”
Grecco’s has been a staple to our community and will continue to fill the bellies of our community for years to come.
