MITCHELL – Prepare for an evening of powerful music and spiritual inspiration as Southern Indiana’s own Kirby Stailey takes the stage at the Mitchell Opera House on Friday, August 9, 2025. The concert is set to begin at 7:00 PM, with doors opening at 6:15 p.m.
Kirby Stailey, a French Lick native, is renowned for blending his passion for Jesus Christ with his extraordinary talent for singing and songwriting. This unique combination promises an experience that is both spiritually uplifting and musically captivating.

Stailey’s journey in music began at the tender age of five, singing in front of a church congregation. Over three decades later, he fully merged his musical gifts with his unwavering faith, dedicating his artistry to bringing people closer to Christ. He has released five albums, including two with Chapel Valley Records, featuring 33 original songs penned by Stailey himself. His discography includes independent projects like “We Know The Way” (2009), “Here To Testify” (2010), and “Sunday Drive” (2012), followed by the critically acclaimed “Sowin’ Seeds” (2014) and the EP “That’s What Brothers Do” (2015) with Chapel Valley.
His impressive performance resume includes venues such as the U.S. Capitol Building for National Police Week, the Indiana Statehouse, the National Quartet Convention, Faith Rocks, Holiday World, and Nashville’s legendary Bluebird Cafe. A SESAC-affiliated songwriter, Stailey’s music receives regular airplay on local and internet radio stations. He is also a former local winner and State finalist of the Colgate Country Showdown and a regional finalist on the hit TV show “The Voice.”

Despite his numerous accolades and extensive touring schedule of nearly 100 live events annually, Stailey remains grounded in his mission. “I have the sole purpose and calling to bring people into a relationship with Jesus Christ through my music,” Stailey stated. “My biggest musical achievement by far has been and always will be seeing hurt and lost souls come forward to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. No amount of money, fame, awards, or #1 hits could even come close to what it is like to see just one soul saved.”
Stailey’s performances, ranging from fairs and festivals to churches, revivals, youth camps, and benefits, are all driven by his commitment to his faith. “I only concern myself with fulfilling the will and direction of Jesus Christ through my music,” he added. “I feel that he has a plan for great works through the gifts and abilities that he has given me.”
Tickets for the Kirby Stailey show are available for $20 for adults and $10 for children. Online purchases should exclusively be made through Humanitix.
