West Washington Jr/Sr High School seeks special education teacher

CAMPBELLSBURG — West Washington Junior/Senior High School is accepting applications for a Special Education teacher to work in a Life Skills Classroom with students in an intense intervention program for those aged 14-22.

According to the school’s job posting, a valid Indiana State Teacher’s License is a required qualification for the position.

The job description outlines several responsibilities, including keeping organized records and progress monitoring notes, meeting deadlines, maintaining compliant IEPs (Individualized Education Programs), maintaining an organized and clean classroom environment that is both attractive and interactive, and working collaboratively with peers and administration.  

The teacher will also be expected to work with students at all skill levels, hold students to high academic and behavioral expectations while adhering to student and staff handbooks adopted by the school board, demonstrate competency in technology and a willingness to learn the school’s chosen platforms, and effectively communicate with parents about students’ growth, behavior, and activities.
