SHOALS — The Martin County Sheriff’s Office is seeking applicants for several immediate openings, including full-time and part-time jail officers and dispatchers, as well as part-time kitchen staff.
The sheriff’s office is offering competitive salaries, with jailer/dispatcher positions paying up to $22.29 per hour for both full-time and part-time roles. Part-time kitchen staff can earn up to $17.20 per hour.
A comprehensive benefits package is available for full-time employees, including PERF retirement, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. All new hires are eligible for a $1,000 hiring bonus. The department also offers retention and referral bonuses. Employees can accrue up to 48 paid days off per year.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens, at least 18 years old, and possess a high school diploma, GED, or HSE.
