WASHINGTON — The Purdue Extension Office in Daviess County is offering free tax preparation services through the IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) programs. These programs provide free basic tax return preparation to qualified individuals.
VITA sites offer assistance to those who need help preparing their own tax returns, specifically targeting individuals and families who generally make $67,000 or less, persons with disabilities, and limited English-speaking taxpayers.
Free tax preparation services will be available on the following dates:
- February: 4, 13, 20, 22, and 27
- March: 6, 13, 20, 22, and 25
- April: 1, 8, 12, and 15
All services will be held at the Daviess Co. Purdue Extension Office located at 300 E Hefron St. Suite 119, Washington, IN 47501.
