MORGAN CO. — A tragic crash on State Road 144 in Morgan County resulted in one fatality on Saturday afternoon. According to a press release from the Morgan County Coroner’s Office, emergency personnel from the Madison Township Fire Department and the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene around 12:13 p.m. after reports of a collision near State Road 144 and Smokey Row Road.
Upon arrival, first responders confirmed that two vehicles were involved in the accident. One individual was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the coroner’s office. The role of the deceased individual in the collision has not been disclosed, as officials have yet to release further details on the circumstances of the crash.
