The Bedford City Council holds monthly meeting

BEDFORD – On Tuesday, May 21st, the Bedford City Council held it’s monthly meeting.

The board voted to replenish the Fire Department’s overtime fund in the amount of $2000. They decided to do this due to the department working overtime on the day of the solar eclipse.

The board also voted to give the parks department $60,000 to fix the pool. Parks Director Jimmy Jones addressed the board, sharing all of the needed replacements and repairs needed for the summer season. Items in need of replacement or repair include salt generators, pool pumps, booster pumps, and guard chairs.

The board also voted to approve usage of the restricted opioid funds for K-9 training. The fee for this training is $2500. The dog going through training will be the second K-9 on the police force.
