Hoosiers be warned, wind gusts could cause controlled fires to get out of control today

INDIANA—The National Weather Service warns Hoosiers that wind gusts of 20 to 30 mph today, combined with low humidity, could increase fire dangers.

Officials say rain over the last week will help limit the overall threat, but with drier air and winds today, any fires could quickly get out of control.

Avoid open burning if possible today, and dispose of flammable items properly.
