BLOOMINGTON— Radhi Spear, DTM of New Jersey, will be the keynote speaker at Toastmasters International’s District 11 annual Spring Conference on April 13, 2024, in Bloomington, Indiana. The District 11 Annual Spring Conference will feature Radhi Spear’s keynote speech, “Reach and Achieve.” All of us have the potential to reach for and achieve our goals! Zig Ziglar said it best: “You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.”

Fortunately, you’ve started by joining Toastmasters. Be inspired to take the next step to reach and achieve your goals! The conference will also have a Table Topics contest, Education Sessions, International Speech Contest, and other speeches and awards.

Like many other members, Spear joined Toastmasters to increase her confidence when speaking in public. She feels strongly about the many benefits of Toastmasters, which she has experienced firsthand, stating, “In Toastmasters, you learn skills that you can use in all aspects of your life, and as you help others, you learn and grow at the same time. I now have the ability and the confidence to speak up.” Spear believes that the skills people learn in Toastmasters – including public speaking, confidence, and leadership – are the skills they need to adapt to changing and challenging times and for the future. She adds, “Toastmasters works. It worked for me, a member of a demographic that perhaps needs Toastmasters the most — a minority, a woman, and an engineer. I am passionate about Toastmasters, and my mission is to help even more people find Toastmasters and discover their potential!”

Spear joined Toastmasters in 2000 and is a charter member of her home club, AT&T Middletown Toastmasters, in Middletown, New Jersey. Before being elected as the organization’s First Vice-President, she held several high-profile leadership positions within Toastmasters. She has achieved the Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) designation twice — the highest level of educational achievement in the organization and other prestigious Toastmasters awards.
