Constellation announces Summer Camps for PreK – 12th Grade

BLOOMINGTON – Constellation is thrilled to announce an exciting lineup of popular week-long summer camps in theater, comedy, film, and musical theater.

Non-performance-based camps in costume and playwriting for kids and Creative Movement for pre-K are new this summer! Back this summer are camps for Littles (rising grades 1-3), Kids (rising grades 4-7), and Teens (rising grades 8-12). Camps run June 3 through July 26 and are conveniently located across downtown Bloomington, including Constellation Studios, the Ted Jones Playhouse, and the Waldron Arts Center.

A full schedule of camps is available on Constellation Stage & Screen’s website, and enrollment is officially open.

This summer, Bloomington’s professional film and theater company is offering more camps than ever before as we introduce Creative Movement for Pre-K (ages 3-6) and expand programming for Littles (rising grades 1-3), including two sessions of Movie Playground, Broadway Beginnings, Broadway Beginnings (Abridged), and Theater Camp: Dynamic Duos—all great introductions to the world of performing arts. As a parent of a Broadway Beginnings student from the summer of 2023 said, “Seeing her confidence and excitement at the end of the week was awesome! I was amazed at how well all the kiddos performed at the end of just a week.”

Constellation offers full scholarships for students grades K-12. These scholarships are generously sponsored by IU Credit Union and allow students who qualify for free/reduced lunch to attend a Constellation class at no cost. For more details on sponsorships and how to apply, visit Constellation’s website.

After a nearly sold-out spring session of classes, Constellation is encouraging families to enroll their students as soon as possible to guarantee their spot. Registration officially opens on February 6th through Constellation’s website. For programming questions, please get in touch with Eric Shelley at eric@seeconstellation.org.
