JACKSON CO. – A Jackson County family lost everything in a house fire Saturday morning.
No one was home when the fire was reported at 3:20 a.m.
Firefighters arrived within 11 minutes of the call and found the home engulfed in flames. Firefighters from Redding Township, Hamilton Township, Jackson/Washington Township, and Spencer Township Volunteer Fire Departments battled the blaze.
According to firefighters, the parents were out celebrating their anniversary, and their children were staying with a relative.
The American Red Cross was placed in contact with the family.
Firefighters remained on the scene until 6:22 a.m.
Jackson County EMS, Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, and Jackson County REMC assisted the fire crews.
