Lawrence County Elementary schools play for Championship at BNL Fieldhouse

BEDFORD- Lawrence County Elementary School boys and girls basketball teams played in tournaments Saturday to determine a champion team for the season. Teams from Parkview, St. Vincent, Needmore, LCIS, Springville, Lincoln, Dollens, and Shawswick participated in the event.

In the girls division, after a hard-fought tournament, the final game came down to the Shawswick Farmers, coached by Mark Lynn, and the Parkview Panthers with Jordan Robbins and Jennifer Edwards at the helm. In the end, Shawswick came away with a 42-13 victory.

In the boys division, it again came down to the Shawswick Farmers and the Parkview Panthers. The Farmers were coached by Noah Dalton and the Panthers were led by Zack Robbins and Dustin Kern. In this matchup, Parkview came away with the victory, 48-28.
