MADISON – The four people who were found deceased inside a burning home on Telegraph Hill Road near Madison, Indiana on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, have been identified.
They have been identified as Naomi Briner, 35, Adelia Briner, 12, Leland Briner, 8, and Iyla Briner, 6.
It is believed that Naomi Briner was the mother of the three younger victims.
Further investigation has determined that all four of the deceased had injuries consistent with gunshot wounds at the time they were located inside the residence.
This is an ongoing investigation. However, at this time, investigators do not believe that there is a threat to the public.
Indiana State Police Investigators continue to work closely with the Indiana Fire Marshal’s Office, Jefferson County Prosecutor’s Office, Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office to thoroughly investigate this incident.
