Register for webinar on reducing vertebrate animal testing

INDIANA – Join the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), PETA Science Consortium International, Institute for In Vitro Sciences and California Department of Pesticide Regulation on Wednesday, November 29 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for the second webinar in the EPIC series on the use of new approach methodologies in risk assessment. 

This webinar, Development and application of NAMs workflows and tools, is part of EPA’s collaborative quarterly webinar series on the use of NAMs or alternative methods to reduce vertebrate animal testing for risk assessment. 

In this webinar, Tara Barton-Maclaren, Ph.D., will discuss Health Canada’s research applying genetic toxicity and transcriptomic NAMs in a regulatory environment and discuss efforts incorporating multiple NAMs into a prioritization workflow. Alistair Middleton, Ph.D., will share Unilever’s NAM toolbox and workflow for conducting systemic safety assessments, together with an evaluation approach based on the principle of benchmarking estimated points of departure.
