The White River Humane Society receives a $3,000 surprise from Lawrence County Community Foundation

BEDFORD – Thursday night, the Lawrence County Community Foundation held its 30th Anniversary Dinner at the Historic Indiana Limestone Company venue in Bedford.

During the festivities, the foundation announced their plans to celebrate their 30th anniversary by awarding $30,000 in surprise Anniversary Grants. LCCF board members voted on and selected ten nonprofit organizations, each to receive $3000. The first grant was awarded to the White River Humane Society on the very same evening.

The first of the grants was awarded by selecting the organizations in good standing with the LCCF, and then those were voted on by the 2023 LCCF board members to find the top ten.

This is just the first of many. The rest of the grants will be awarded over the next several weeks.
