Chris Johnson, 63, of Bedford, passed away at 7:40 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2023, at IU Health University Hospital.
Born September 2, 1960, in Bedford, he was the son of Charles Donald and Sondra Sue (Fender) Johnson. He was a self-employed car detailer and auto body repairman.
Survivors include his mother, Sondra Johnson, of Bedford; three children, Christopher Johnson, of Mitchell, Raymond Johnson, of Bedford, and Jerry Johnson and wife, Christy, of Crothersville; four grandchildren and one due in January; a step-son, Robert Lemmons, of Mitchell; nine step-grandchildren; siblings, Debra Godsey, and husband, Bob, of Oolitic, Toni Wiggs, and husband, Mark, of Williams; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Private graveside services will be conducted at Dive Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 16th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
