Asphalt resurface project continues along U.S. 50 in Seymour

JACKSON COUNTY — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Dave O’Mara Contractors, Inc. plans to conduct full/partial depth patching and resurfacing throughout each weekend in September, beginning today. Work will take place along U.S. 50 from O’Brien Street to Agrico Lane in east and westbound lanes through Seymour.

Crews began patching work at approximately 4:00 a.m. this morning and are expected to complete patching work tomorrow, September 10, weather permitting. Following the completion of patching work, crews are scheduled to begin milling and paving on or after Friday, September 15. Milling and paving is expected to be complete by Sunday, September 17, weather permitting. All additional work will take place the following weekend. Drivers should remain alert for changes in traffic patterns and expect message boards while work is in progress.

INDOT reminds motorists to slow down, use caution and drive distraction-free in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
