Bedford Outdoors Series “Bikes and Biking 101”

BEDFORD – On Tuesday, August 22, the Forest Service will host a presentation on “Bikes and Biking 101” as part of the Bedford Outdoors Series.

Join Forest Service staff and avid bicyclist Tad Armstrong from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. EDT as he explains the differences between bicycles, how to do basic bike maintenance, and what tools are good to have on hand.

 Mountain biking is a popular activity in the Hoosier National Forest.

Tad will be joined by a representative of the Brown County chapter of the Hoosier Mountain Bike Association who will provide information on area trails.

The presentation will be held at the historic Otis Park Bath House located at 607 Tunnelton Road, east of Bedford. 

The Bedford Outdoors Series is hosted in collaboration with the Bedford Parks Department, Purdue University Extension, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, Lawrence County Soil & Water Conservation District, Indiana Department of Natural Resources – Division of Forestry, and USDA Forest Service – Hoosier National Forest.  Programs are scheduled monthly on the fourth Tuesday (except December).
