Bloomfield Fire Department responds to two fires on Wednesday

BLOOMFIELD – Bloomfield Fire Department responded to two major structure fires on Wednesday, May 24th.

One fire was reported downtown at Aggy’s Funhouse and the other was at the newly built Napa store.

No one was reported injured at either fire.

Firefighters reported around 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, to the NAPA Store in Bloomfield for a report of the attic on fire. Firefighters were able to quickly dose the blaze that caused only minor damage to the building.

The second fire was reported at 11:30 a.m. on Main Street at Aggy’s Funhouse. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.

The cause of both fires remains under investigation.

Assisting battling the blazes were Richland Fire Department, Switz City Fire Department, Highland Fire Department, Worthington Fire Department, Taylor Fire Department, Duke Energy, Eastern Heights, Bloomfield Police Department, Indiana State Police, and Greene County Sheriff’s Department.
