Bread & Roses Gardens and the Blossom and the Bee Tea Company were featured at Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market

BLOOMINGTON – No one in America is more aware of the symbiotic relationships of soil, water and air than farmers and ranchers. They depend on clean water. They understand that pollution threatens plant and animal health. They know that good soil is as valuable as gold.

So they conserve, they protect, they improve the resources they inherited from their elders in hopes of passing along to their offspring resources that are even more capable of producing food and fiber and even more environmentally secure.

The beloved gardens in the holler near Hardin Ridge, where Bread & Roses started many years ago, are still thriving under the care of Salem Willard and Ash Teng.

They now operate as Bread & Roses Gardens and the Blossom and the Bee Tea Company. They grow an abundance of food and herbs for their value-added products, teas, and medicinal offerings.

Salem is also a talented musician. Look for their table at the market where you will find tasty sauces, mushrooms, herbs, and produce as well as wonderfully crafted teas and tinctures.

This Saturday, the Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market welcomes “Radio Abyss” featuring Adam Larimer performing a variety of rock and Alternative sounds to our Circle Stage.
