Stars post two wins in Unified track

JASPER – Bedford North Lawrence defeated Jasper and Perry Central during Unified Track action on Wednesday.

The Stars totaled 127 points to top the Wildcats (101) and Commodores (54).

Brax Huber set a school record while winning the 400-meter dash in 55.37. Other winners for the Stars included Alex Nubbie (shot put), Keaton Kimbley (shot put), Patric Matson (long jump), Koltyn Clute (long jump), Harley Tanksley (100), Ethan Robinson (100), Josh Morales (100) and Asher Arce (400).

“Brax never ceases to impress,” BNL coach Mike Branam said. “He is most definitely a silent leader on this team. He has his sights set on a goal and is determined to get there. He is a workhorse.”

BNL also won the girls 400 relay (Gracelyn Arthur, Samantha Biel, Tori Logsdon, and Tanksley) and the boys 400 relay (Robinson, Clute, Morales, and Huber).

The Stars will host Bloomington North on Saturday.
