Biden authorizes assistance for residents impacted by recent tornadoes

INDIANA – The Indiana Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency will outline the process for Hoosiers impacted by the recent tornado outbreak that caused significant damage in a dozen Indiana counties today at 11 a.m. at the Indiana Government Center South in Indianapolis.

President Joe Biden has authorized individual assistance for residents impacted by the March 31-April 1 outbreak of 23 tornadoes across the state. Five people were killed and several more were injured. More than 1,000 structures were damaged. 

The President’s action makes Federal funding available to affected individuals in the counties of Allen, Benton, Clinton, Grant, Howard, Johnson, Lake, Monroe, Morgan, Owen, Sullivan, and White.
