Fire damages and displaces residents at the Crescent Park condominium complex

BLOOMINGTON – A fire at the Crescent Park condominium complex displaced several residents.

The fire was reported Monday at 10 p.m. at the apartment complex at 3210 John Hinkle Place.

Tim Clapp, a fire inspection officer at the Bloomington Fire Department, said the fire started on the third floor of the complex. The fire was contained to one apartment but there was significant damage to all 12 units.

No residents, pets, or firefighters were injured.

Officials say it will take months to repair the damages.

Firefighters remained on the scene until 1:30 a.m. Tuesday. 

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
