Canine Kilo finds more than 107 grams of meth during a traffic stop, two men arrested

FRENCH LICK – Two men were arrested after canine Kilo alerted police to drugs in a vehicle.

On Friday, April 7th at approximately 12:44 a.m. Paoli Police Department canine Kilo was called to assist French Lick Officer C. Hubbard on a traffic stop on Highway 56.

Kilo alerted officers to the odor of narcotics in the vehicle.

During a search of the vehicle, police found 3.7 ounces (107 grams) of meth and a loaded 9mm handgun.

The driver, 39-year-old Nicholas Brown, of Bedford, was a convicted serious violent felon on parole. He is now facing charges of dealing meth, possession of meth with a handgun, and a convicted felon in possession of a handgun.

His passenger 18-year-old Clayton Johnson, of Bloomington, was also arrested on charges of dealing and possession of meth with a handgun.
