Commissioners approve software contract with Low Associates

BEDFORD – The Lawrence County Commissioner approved a control with Low Associates, who will provide software to the county for payroll, property taxes, and other financial systems.

The contract now must be approved by the county council.

Low Associates provides comprehensive payroll, financial and property tax software in an easy-to-use, intuitive format, according to County Auditor Jessica Staggs.

There will be support specialists and on-site programming staff serving Lawrence County. The company provides this service to some of the largest and smallest counties and school corporations in the state.

“This will be utilized by the auditor’s, treasurer’s, and human resource’s office,” said Staggs. “The initial cost is $213,000 and then there will be an annual maintenance agreement. That cost will be paid out of ARP (American Rescue Plan) funds. After being approved they will come in and convert our existing system to theirs and then provide staff training.”
