Gov. Holcomb directs flags to be flown at half-staff in honor of Korean War veteran

JOHNSON CO. – Governor Eric J. Holcomb is directing flags to be flown at half-staff in Johnson County in honor of Korean War veteran Sgt. Charles Garrigus, Jr. The war veteran’s remains were identified more than 70 years after Dec. 1, 1950, when he was first reported missing in action.

Flags should be flown at half-staff in Johnson County from sunrise to sunset on Friday, March 10. Gov. Holcomb is asking businesses and residents in Johnson County to lower their flags to half-staff.
