SILVERVILLE – Firefighters from Indian Creek, Perry Township, and the US Forestry Service are battling several fires in the 1000 block of State Road 158. Firefighters responded to the scene around 2:22 p.m.
The fires included a vehicle, an abandoned mobile home, and a wooded area. Gusty winds were an issue spreading the fire in different locations.
Firefighters worked to keep the fire from spreading to nearby barns and other structures.
Firefighters using brush trucks, tankers, and the U.S. Forestry Service arrived with several ATVs and leaf blowers to help contain the blaze.
US Forest Service reported that approximately 15 acres burned.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
