BNL’s Spreen chosen as state’s Player of the Year by MaxPreps

BEDFORD – Bedford North Lawrence junior Chloe Spreen was named Indiana’s high school girls basketball Player of the Year by MaxPreps.

Spreen, who powered the Stars to the IHSAA Class 4A state championship, averaged 19.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists as BNL finished 27-3 with the fifth state title in program history. She was sensational in the state tournament, scoring 26 points against Center Grove in the semistate semifinal, 20 against Lawrence North in the semistate final, and 20 against Fishers in the state final.

She’s already been honored as a Supreme 15 Junior All-State by the IBCA, and she is the frontrunner for the 2024 Miss Basketball award.

Spreen will now be eligible for the MaxPreps All-America team, which will be announced in April.
