BLOOMINGTON – Congratulations to several Monroe County Community School Corporation recipients on receiving the City of Bloomington Commission on the Status of Black Males 2024 Outstanding Black Leader of Tomorrow Award.
Those students are:
Sydney Crossley, Sophomore at Bloomington High School South
D’Andre Black, Junior at Bloomington High School South
Andrew McKenzie, P.E. Teacher at Fairview Elementary School
The Commission recognizes the importance of highlighting the outstanding contributions made by young African American men and women in our community for their outstanding leadership, scholarship, and involvement in making tangible, visible, and meaningful contributions to the Bloomington community.
The recipients were honored at the Black History Month Gala which took place on Saturday, February 25, at 6 p.m. at Woolery Mill in Bloomington.
