Argument over dogs leads to domestic battery and drug arrest

GUTHRIE – A woman was arrested after Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to a call of a physical domestic fight in the 2000 block of Red Crane Road Sunday.

When deputies arrived they spoke to 28-year-old Madison Gregory who told police she was asleep on the couch when her aunt awakened her by yelling. She said she got up and attempted to leave.

The aunt reported she confronted Gregory about not cleaning up after her dogs that were being kept at her grandmother’s home. She asked Gregory to remove the dogs from the property.

The aunt claims after she confronted Gregory, an argument between the two began and that is when Gregory allegedly slapped her in the face.

The aunt requested to sign a battery affidavit.

Gregory was detained. Among Gregory’s purse contents was a glass smoking device that contained meth residue and other drug paraphernalia.

Gregory was arrested on a charge of domestic battery, possession of meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
