Volunteers are needed for the annual Bloomington Parks and Recreation Holiday Market

BLOOMINGTON – Volunteers are needed for the annual Bloomington Parks and Recreation Holiday Market on November 26th at Showers Common at 401 North Morton Street.

Those attending can shop for favorite locally grown farm products, and arts and fine crafts created by local artisans, all while listening to the music of the season.

Children will have the chance to write and send a letter to Santa, and we’ll also have a photo booth set up to snap a photo for your family holiday cards.

Volunteers are needed to assist with set-up, carriage rides, participant raffle, staffing the information tent, chestnut roasting, and teardown. We’re also looking for volunteer elves to assist Santa. The event will be held outside and volunteers are urged to dress for the weather.

Eight volunteers are needed for the first shift from 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. and 10 volunteers are needed for the second shift from 12:30 p.m. until 4 p.m. Volunteers must be 16-year-old and up. Those under the age of 18 must have an Underage Waiver of Liability signed by a parent or guardian and must bring it with them when they arrive for their shift. Click here to fill out the underage waiver. Volunteers will check in at the tent that will be set up outside the entrance of City Hall on the day of the event.
