Mackenzie Burns-Jones and Duane Billingsly were promoted at RCF

ROCKVILLE  – Rockville Correctional Facility (RCF) Warden Julie Stout is pleased to announce the promotions of Mackenzie Burns-Jones to Specialist, and Duane Billingsley to Caseworker, both within the Intake Classification Unit of RCF’s Case Management Department.

All adult females remanded to the Indiana Department of Correction (IDOC) first come to RCF’s Intake Classification Unit where they are assessed, and determinations are made as to how best their needs.

Mackenzie started her career with the State of Indiana in 2015 with the Department of Child Services. In 2018, she joined the IDOC as a Correctional Caseworker at RCF and set out to learn the multiple tasks of a correctional caseworker. Along the way, she has also served the facility by sitting on the conduct adjustment board, is a facilitator for the cognitive–behavioral therapy class Thinking for a Change, and is attending the Women in Leadership Program. She will soon be attending Thinking for a Change: Training the Trainers hosted by the National Institute of Corrections, located in Colorado.

Duane Billingsley

Duane began his IDOC career at RCF in 2014 as a Correctional Officer. In 2019, his career took him to IDOC’s Reception Diagnostic Center (RDC) in Plainfield as a Correctional Officer. RDC is the adult male intake facility for the State of Indiana. He returned to RCF in 2021. Duane is a Field Training Officer, sharing his veteran custody knowledge and skills with newly hired officers, overseeing their development in day-to-day tasks. He also completed the three-part IDOC Supervisory training in May of this year.
