The 5th Annual Orleans Fall Fun Fest is Saturday, October 8th

ORLEANS – The Orleans Chamber of Commerce is finalizing its plans for the upcoming Annual Fall Fun Fest in the Park set for Saturday, October 8th in historic downtown Orleans.

Chamber Executive Director Robert Henderson said the local Chamber will again play host to a variety of fun fall family type activities and special events planned for that Saturday.

Planned events include the annual Orange Co. Homegrown 5K Run/Walk.

The Homegrown Farmers Market will have its “Harvest Fair.”

Bounce Houses will be set up in Congress Square for the kids.

Kirk Vet Service will be sponsoring the Pet Costume Parade in the Park that morning.

Live entertainment is scheduled on the Bicentennial Stage with the “Ladies for Liberty” and Old ‘n Gold.”

As in years past there will be plenty of delicious food served up by a number of organizations that day in the park area including Orleans Municipal Fire, Orleans Wesleyan Youth will be serving up biscuits and gravy, and the Orange Co Cattlemen’s Assoc. will be serving steak sandwiches, drinks and more.

The Orleans High School Jr. Parents will have a booth to raise money for the After Prom. 

Orleans Tri Kappa will have its Harvest Corner set up and will be offering an array of homemade baked items, fall treats, and activities for the kids. 

Orleans Phi Beta will be selling Persimmon Pudding in the Park.

SpeakEasy Pizza will have its “Octoberfest” Beer Garden set up downtown that day. 

Car enthusiasts will be pleased to know that the Classic Car Show will also be part of the event lineup.

Registration starts at 11 a.m. and ends at Noon. Judging takes place from Noon to 2 p.m.  The entry fee is $20. The awards presentation will be at 4:30 p.m. 

This year there will be a Best Dressed Contest with individuals encouraged to dress up in their 50s attire.  There will be 45 trophies awarded for multiple categories.

Orleans Municipal Fire Department Corn Hole Tourney starts at 12 Noon at the basketball court. Please register by 11 a.m. the cost is $10 per team.
