BEDFORD – Who will be the next WQRK Southern Indiana’s Classic Hits & Litefm Persimmon Idol?
The finalists listed below will compete on the Main Street Stage on Monday, September 19th at 7:30 p.m.
WQRK Southern Indiana‘s Classic Hits & Litefm Persimmon Idol is set to showcase singing talent from the local listening area. The winner of WQRK Southern Indiana‘s Classic Hits & Litefm Persimmon Idol will take home a grand prize package.
Nearly 60 vocalists registered for our preliminary auditions that took place on Thursday, September 8th in the Mitchell High School Auditorium.
Adult Division Finalists:
- Amanda Bockting, of Salem
- Christina Bell, of Bedford
- Jae Resto, of French Lick
- Kaity Sandes, of Bedford
- Kylee Pendley, of Orleans
- DJ Watson, of Mitchell
- Derrick Weidner and Olivia Doyle, of Bloomington
- Bryan Woosley, of Springville
Youth Divison Finalist:
- Hayleigh Armstrong, of Springville
- Lily Bockting, of Salem
- Madison Dillman, of Bedford
- Bianca Garcia, of Pekin
This year’s contest will feature two age divisions that includes the youth division for ages 10-17 and the adult division for ages 18 and older.
The WQRK Southern Indiana‘s Classic Hits & Litefm Persimmon Idol winner from each division will win the following grand prize package:
- WQRK Southern Indiana’s Classic Hits & Litefm Persimmon Idol trophy
- WQRK Southern Indiana’s Classic Hits & Litefm Persimmon Idol tee shirt
- $500 cash prize
These finalists will be judged in the following categories:
- Stage Performance
- Vocal Technique
- Style Performance
- Word Memorization of The Song Choice
