Airport Day is Sunday, October 2

WASHINGTON – The Daviess County Airport will be hosting an Airport Day, Sunday, October 2nd from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Daviess County Airport at 1728 East 250 North in Washington.

The airport is located north of the city of Washington, and provides services and comfortable facilities for all inbound and departing general aviation traffic to the area. The paved, lighted principle runway at the airport is 4,615 feet (1,406 meters) to accommodate small business jets and most general aviation aircraft.

While at the event you can see planes and see what is happening at the airport.

Those that attend will also have a chance to win a flight on one of the planes. Tickets are $20, or six for $100, and are available now at the airport, or you can get them on airport day, on October 2nd. The winner will be drawn at 1 p.m. and you must be present to win. Proceeds will go to local charities.
