Slip ‘N Foam event scheduled for August but need volunteers

BLOOMINGTON – Slip out of those back-to-school jitters, and slide into an afternoon of wet and exciting fun during the Bloomington Parks & Recreation Department Slip ‘N Foam event at Rev. Ernest D. Butler Park at 812 West 9th Street. Parking is available at the Rev. Ernest D. Butler Park Community Gardens.

Volunteers are needed on Saturday, August 6th to help set up and teardown for the event, as well as facilitate all areas (Slip ‘N Slide, foam pit, craft/activity area). As a thank you for their service work, volunteers will have the chance to go down the slip ‘n slide for free. Volunteers are needed from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. to set up and supervise the activity areas and from 2:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. to help supervise the activity area and for tear down. Six volunteers are needed for each shift. Click here to sign up to volunteer.


 On-site training will be provided. 

Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Volunteers under the age of 18 must have an Underage Waiver of Liability signed by a parent or guardian and must bring it with them when they arrive for their shift. Click here to download the waiver.
