Mitchell City Council approves requests and invoices during March 7th meeting

MITCHELL – The Mitchell City Council approved invoices and ordinances to better help members of the community positively Monday night.

The council approved two invoices to be paid to GIS Software services for $20,500.00 and the fourth installation of payments to Midwestern Engineering of $17,176.86.

The council then approved the ordinance to install handicap parking spaces in two areas in town. The first was on 9th Street and Bishop Boulevard which was requested previously during the February meeting.

A request was also made by Crystal Jewell, for the city to install two handicap spaces in front of their home on Oak Street, to assist her handicapped daughter get on the school bus easier, as the buses have had to stop in the middle of the road, blocking traffic. This was unanimously approved by the council.
