Educator retires after 40 years of service

GREENCASTLE – Warden Dushan Zatecky and staff at Putnamville Correctional Facility (ISF) congratulate Jim Hendrix on an astonishing 40 years of service with the Indiana Department of Corrections (IDOC). Mr. Hendrix began his career with the Indiana Department of Correction on September 16, 1979. During his years with the DOC, he has been very fortunate to gain a wealth of experience in numerous positions at different IDOC facilities.

While at ISF he has served as a Unit Team Manager, Assistant Superintendent, and most recently the Director of Education for IDOC as an Oakland City employee beginning in November 2014. He has brought a vast amount of knowledge with his positions over the years and will be missed by many. The Indiana Department of Correction wishes Mr. Hendrix much happiness as he embarks on his journey into a well-deserved retirement.
