Perry Township officials vote to accept Springville School

SPRINGVILLE – The Perry Township Advisory Board voted Monday night to accept Springville School.

Following the vote a thunderous applause could be heard in the Life Taberancle Family Life Center where the meeting was held.

Before the vote township officials allowed residents to voice their comments, questions, and concerns about acquiring the building. Perry Township president Doug Kelley presided over the hour-long meeting.

Perry Township Trustee Robert Phillips, the advisory board members and North Lawrence Community School officials toured the building two weeks ago.

Kelley told those in attendance that the building is ready to be occupied.

After the comment period, township officials polled those in attendance on whether to accept or reject the building.

Everyone in attendance held their hands in favor of accepting the building.

There was a brief discussion among the township officials and the vote followed.
