BEDFORD – Evan Waggoner, of Bedford North Lawrence, has been selected to participate in the Indiana North-South All-Star series in Evansville, June 25th – June 27th.
The game on Saturday, June 26th will be held at DH at the University of Evansville’s Charles H. Braun Stadium. This will be two nine inning games with the first one starting at noon.
On  Sunday, June 27th a single nine-inning game will be held at Historic Bosse Field.
Evan Waggoner stats: Offense – BA – .362, 13 doubles, 22 RBI, 23 Walks, 6 HBP. On defense he has a FA – .994, SB 9, CS 10, CS% .526, 6 pickoffs
“Evan has done an incredible job for us behind and at the plate over the last four years,” said Coach Jeff Callahan. “He has been the cornerstone of our defense. Evan has called the pitches during games for the last four years and really helped our pitchers develop confidence. At the plate this year, he was very patient as evident by his 23 walks. He did a good job for us in the 3 hole. We will miss him behind the plate and in the lineup. Evan has a very bright future ahead of him at the University of Evansville as a student-athlete.
