BEDFORD – Bedford North Lawrence senior Sarah Stone has been named to the PGF East All-Star team.
The Premier Girls Fastpitch Association is considered the top fastpitch organization in the country. Stone will represent BNL and the Beverly Bandits travel team for the East-West game in California in July (set to be nationally telecast by ESPN).
Stone, a University of Kentucky recruit, is the only girl from Indiana selected. She leads the Stars with a .553 batting average, 17 home runs and 49 RBIs. She is one of the leading candidates for the state’s Miss Softball award.
