ISP says the discovery of human bones remains under investigation

ORLEANS – The case where human remains were found on November 29, 2020, near 173 West Quarry Road in Orleans remains under investigation, according to Indiana State Police.

A man who was walking in the area saw what he thought were skeletal remains and called the police. Indiana State Police Crime Scene Investigators were notified and collected the remains. 

Jasper ISP Post Public Information Officer Sgt. David Henderson says the Bloomington Post has taken over the investigation.

According to Bloomington ISP Post Public Information Officers Sgt. Michael Woods, the case remains an active investigation and there were no updates at this time.
