Twila L. Cobb, 84, of Springville, died at 8:47 p.m. on vFriday, April 30, 2021, at Monroe Hospital.
Born December 22, 1936, in Bedford, she was the daughter of John and Bertha Esther (Nolan) Faubion. She married Russell Cobb on February 24, 1957, and he preceded her in death on October 1, 2015. Twila retired after thirty years from the U.S. Postal Service as a Postmaster. She was a member of the Springville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son, John David Cobb, and wife Penny, of Springville; one daughter, Janet Godsey, and husband Mark, of Avon; four grandchildren, Alexandra Dair Evans, Jordan David Cobb, Erik Brendan Godsey, and Morgan Danielle Martin; great-grandchildren, Josiah David Cobb, Madalynn Jolene Cobb, Calvin Michael Glynn, Jack Henry Godsey, Alexis Brooke Martin, Airy Ellen Martin, Liam Alexander Martin, and another great- granddaughter on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 6th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Kevin Giggy officiating. Burial will follow in Springville West Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
The family asks that masks be worn and social distancing observed.
