Bedford teen arrested after consuming alcohol

BEDFORD – A Bedford teen was arrested Saturday after Bedford Police were called to IU Health Hospital after a report of a disorderly male causing a scene.

When Bedford Police officers arrived they found the male being treated for a facial injury.

Ashley Mounce

At some point, his girlfriend 19-year-old Ashly Mounce arrived on the scene and was creating additional issues by being belligerent with her boyfriend.

Officers spoke to the male who admitted to police that he had been drinking with some friends and was punched in the face by another male.

Due to the male’s level of intoxication, he could not provide officers with a statement.

His injuries were photographed and documented. He was told to go to the department to make a statement after he sobered up.

Officers found Mounce slumped over the steering wheel of a running gold Chevrolet Malibu in the parking lot.

An officer opened the door and turned off the vehicle and awoke Mounce, whom was intoxicated.

Mounce was asked to step out of the vehicle. Police say she was unsteady on her feet with slurred speech and glassy eyes.

She was arrested on charges of public intoxication and minor consuming alcohol.
