House District 78 caucus set

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Republican Party Chairman Kyle Hupfer has officially called a caucus of eligible precinct committee members to fill the upcoming vacancy in the office of House District 78. The seat is currently vacant after Holli Sullivan’s appointment as Secretary of State.

The caucus will be held at 6 p.m. CT on Monday, March 29, 2021, at the Faithway Baptist Church which is located at 3635 Pollack Ave.; Evansville, IN 47714.

The caucus will follow all guidelines established by the local health department — including social distancing, increased sanitation, COVID-19 screening, requiring face coverings and other mitigating efforts. 

Anyone who is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, has been in contact with a known or suspected positive case of COVID-19 or has tested positive for COVID-19, regardless of symptoms, must stay away from the caucus. High-risk individuals should stay away from the caucus.

Individuals interested in running in the caucus should contact the Indiana Republican Party Secretary at sbeckley@indiana.gop to ensure they file the proper forms prior to the deadline, which is 72 hours prior to the vote.
