Martin County Sheriff’s Department arrest couple in a drug investigation

MARTIN CO. – On Saturday, February 27th, an investigation, conducted by Martin County Sheriff’s Department deputy, led to a consensual search of a residence at 409 Fairview Street, in Loogootee.

During a search of the residence, officers located a small cooler containing several precursors known to be used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Meth was also found in the residence.

An Indiana State Police Methamphetamine Suppression Team was then called in to assist, due to the presence of potentially hazardous materials.

Police arrested 39-year-old Joy M. Grace and 34-year-old William R. Bradley, both of Loogootee without incident. They are being held in the Martin County Security Center.

Grace faces felony charges of possession of precursors with intent to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of meth and a misdemeanor charge of maintaining a common nuisance.

Bradley faces a felony charge of possession of precursors with intent to manufacture methamphetamine.

Assisting officers at the scene were Indiana Conservation Officers and the Loogootee Police Department.
