Governor Eric Holcomb directs flags to be flown at half-staff

HOWARD CO. – Governor Eric J. Holcomb is directing flags in Howard County to be flown at half-staff on Tuesday, March 9, in honor of Kokomo firefighter Captain Martin Meyers.

Flags should be flown at half-staff from sunrise until sunset Tuesday, March 9.

The Kokomo Fire Department is mourning the loss of one of their own as active firefighter Martin Meyers passed away Thursday afternoon after a lengthy battle with COVID-19.

Gov. Holcomb also asks businesses and residents in Howard County to lower their flags to half-staff in memory of Captain Martin Meyers.
